About Mock configuration import

Validate and normalize an existing socket.help mock API configuration for import or export.

When to use it

Reuse a known mock definition across test sessions.

Mock configuration import example
{"name":"Example","routes":[{"method":"GET","path":"/hello","status":200,"body":"Hello"}]}

How to use it

  1. Paste a JSON configuration with name and routes.
  2. Validate and copy the normalized JSON.
  3. Paste it into the Mock REST API editor’s Import configuration section.

Limits & privacy

Uses the same validation as the hosted mock API: one to 20 routes, 80 KiB total configuration, two-second maximum delay, and restricted response headers. Validation alone creates no endpoint.

Use this tool from the API reference or connect through the SDK, CLI, SSH, or MCP. Hosted calls share your plan allowances.
